Inspector's Report

Routine inspection revealed multiple food safety violations including fly infestation from open back door, improper hand-washing facilities with empty soap dispensers, improper cooling methods for banchan stored at 45°F, and raw eggs stored at same level as ready-to-eat foods. Additional violations included missing consumer advisory for Korean BBQ, food stored on floor, misuse of egg cartons to absorb oil, and inadequate facility maintenance with grease buildup and food debris.

Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.
Observed flies in the facility. The back door to the facility is opened. Most recent pest control was conducted 9/26/2025 by Banner Pest Control.

Observed raw eggs on cardboard flats on the same level as the cooled banchan (fish cakes) in the kitchen food shelves. COS- Operator relocated the flat of eggs into the refrigerator.

Observed raw egg flat cartons stacked in a shelf next to three rice cookers. Operator stated they use the egg flats to absorb oil from equipment. Instructed to discontinue use immediately and discard all raw egg flat cartons.

Clutter provides harborage for rodents and cockroaches. Cardboard harbors cockroach eggs. Each egg case contains 30-40 nymphs.
Observed flies in the facility. The back door to the facility is opened. Instructed to close the door or provide mesh screens in the backdoor to prevent vermin from entering the facility.

Sewage contains billions of pathogens including hepatitis A, norovirus, and E. coli. One tablespoon contains 100 million bacteria. Causes immediate severe illness.
Observed no soap available for employees due to empty wall-mounted soap dispenser. Employees are actively swapping tasks and not properly washing hands. COS- Operator provided soap dispenser for employees to wash their hands.

Proper Cooling Methods
Improper cooling is the #1 cause of restaurant foodborne illness. Clostridium perfringens spores germinate and multiply rapidly during slow cooling.
Observed banchan covered in metal bins in the walk-in cooler with internal temperatures of 45°F+. Operator stated banchan have been prepared 2 hours ago. All food items in rapid cooling process should not have lids if they have not been cooled down to 41°F or below.
