Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.

Observed cat and kittens, please remove cats from store. - NOTES Observed vacuum packed fish stored at room temperature while walking by yesterday (still cold to touch) and instructed PIC to store this item in freezer. Observed vacuum packed fish again today, stored at room temperature. Per PIC, they contacted manufacturers/supplier yesterday and were informed item is safe for storage at room temperature and this practice has been approved by previous SFDPH inspectors. Hold items deemed potentially hazardous (vac packed fish, dried duck, any other items bearing "keep refrigerated" until one of the following conditions has been met: -microbial challenge study performed by accredited agency and resulted submitted to SFDPH for review and approval result in approval from this department. -Documentation from manufacturer stating item is safe for storage at room temperature Has been reviewed by District Inspector and this storage practice has been approved. Until these one of these conditions have been met, please store fish in the refrigerator.
