Why This Matters
Without hot water, dishes cannot be sanitized and hands cannot be properly washed. Allows survival of viruses and bacteria that cause foodborne illness.
What Was Observed
Observed the maximum temperature of the hot water to be 118.5*F and dropped to ~ 100*F. Per operator an independent plumber who may or may not be licensed inspected the water heater and turned the thermostat to 140*F; instructed operator to use a confirmed licensed plumber to inspect the unit and make any necessary adjustments to hold a minimum temperature of 120*F. - NOTES Immediately send inspector via email proof that the water heater has been repaired or replaced with a similar unit, current recovery rate is 12kW. Please note that multiple visits will result in reinspection fees AND that the application has not been approved by the district supervisor and can be denied.
