Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.
Observed few rodent droppings in storage area along the wall. CONTINUE to exclude rodents from the facility. - ELIMINATE rodents from the facility. REMOVE droppings and clean and sanitize the affected areas. INSPECT the facility storage area for entry points and seal any holes and cracks found with a durable repair and monitor for activity. SEND a copy of your next pest control report to usman.javaid@sfdph.org - Observed flies droppings at the dish storage rack by the food prep sink. Clean and sanitize the outer surface of rack. - Observed self contained electrocution device on top of dish rack. COS operator was asked either to move the device away from the dish rack or move the rack away from electrocution device to avoid potential contamination of dishes from flies droppings.
