Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.
What Was Observed
mouse droppings observed on shelving in aisles by wine and liquor bottles. dead mouse on trap next to bev fridge at end of row of fridges closest to cashier. no active pest control currently. large hole in wall behind low shelf of bottled liquor adjacent to cashier area. rat droppings observed here. seal all holes with 1/4 in. steel wire mesh or metal flashing or replace wall entirely or use coving tile for floor wall juncture. discontinue using foam to seal any holes in facility. rodents can ch
