Inspection revealed evidence of rodent activity with large droppings found throughout the facility including retail floor, attic, back room, and liquor storage areas. Additional violations included cardboard lining on shelves and cracked concrete floors in walk-in cooler.

Why This Matters
Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.
What Was Observed
CONTINUE to work with your licensed pest control operator to exclude rodents from the facility. REMOVE all evidence of rodents and CLEAN and sanitize affected areas. KEEP doors closed to prevent vermin entry. INSPECT liquor storage area, attic, and premises overall for entry points and SEAL any found with a durable repair - do NOT use spray foam. Observed large rodent droppings in the following locations: 1 in an empty wine storage shelf on retail floor, in the attic on floors (no food observed stored here), in the back room under the ladder on floor, on the bottom shelf of the liquor storage area (no items stored here), on floor behind beverage cooler. and in back closet with carpetted floors near the storage chest. *Cleaning initiated at time of inspection. Suspect debris in the corner of the walk in liquor cooler was also cleaned as a precaution.
