Mice produce 50 droppings daily containing Salmonella and hantavirus. Cockroaches carry 33 bacteria types and 6 parasitic worms. Rats spread plague and leptospirosis.
Observed an abundance of live cockroaches in multiple life stages throughout the facility — on and under equipment, in hard-to-reach areas, and inside bags of dry ingredients and containers of food. -Cease all food operations immediately. -Discard all contaminated food, single-use items, and any items that cannot be effectively cleaned or sanitized. -Conduct a thorough deep cleaning of the entire facility, including under and behind equipment and inside storage areas. -Contract with a licensed pest control company for immediate treatment and provide service reports to the Department. -After pest control applies treatment, seal all cracks, gaps, and entry points to prevent pest harborage and reinfestation.
